President

Thomas Salg leads the overall strategic direction and developments for Wharf Hotels’ portfolio of hotels with a focus on creating value to position the group for sustainable growth. He is also responsible for overall performance as well as investor and owner relations. Thomas Salg brings more than 25 years of valuable expertise in luxury hotels, resorts and convention hotels that spans eight countries and three continents. He joined Marco Polo Hotels in 2013.

Thomas Salg holds a Diploma in Natural Sciences and Hospitality from Bergius Hotelfach Schule in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
LUCINDA CHAN

LUCINDA CHAN

Vice President, Finance and Business Development

Lucinda Chan’s key responsibilities include managing risk and investment strategies, alongside tracking the overall monetary health of the group. She leverages her extensive experience of over two decades in multinational environments to drive partnerships and business development efforts in support of the group’s strategies. She also leads the procurement, and innovation and technology functions.

An invaluable finance executive, Ms Chan is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute.
JØRGEN CHRISTENSEN

JØRGEN CHRISTENSEN

Vice President, Operations

A leader with a strategic focus on establishing revenue streams for hotel operations, enhancing guest and service experiences, and a broad mandate overseeing group brand standards for the Rooms division; Restaurants, Bars and Events; and Technical Services. Jørgen Christensen has over 30 years of hospitality industry experience and previously held senior management positions with various luxury hotel brands in Asia Pacific, Europe and the United States.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management from Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom and IHTTI School of Hotel Management in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
HOLGER JAKOBS

HOLGER JAKOBS

Vice President, Sales and Marketing

As a visionary leader with deep expertise in sales and marketing, Holger Jakobs is charged with the group’s execution of commercial initiatives and strategies including revenue optimisation, global sales, digital marketing, loyalty, brand extension and communications.

His previous experience across China, Indonesia and Thailand were in luxury hotels and resorts and he is a Masters graduate from the University of Paderborn in Germany.

Vice President, Human Resources

Dedicated to building a caring culture that enables our talents to thrive and achieve their full potential, Ada To is a skilled professional responsible for developing and executing HR strategies in support of the company's mission and vision. In addition to providing executive-level leadership and guidance related to human resources policy, her responsibilities encompass talent acquisition, employee engagement and retention, compensation and benefits, performance management, and compliance.

Ada has nearly three decades of experience in human resource management, and holds a Master of Science in Strategic Human Resources Management from the Hong Kong Baptist University. She notably was awarded “Best HR Leader” in Hong Kong by Key Media HR Awards in 2009 and 2010.
