Area Hotel Manager

Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel

Responsibility

  • Assist Area General Manager in the day-to-day operation and manage Front Office, Housekeeping, Restaurants, Bars & Events, Engineering and Security Departments of three Marco Polo hotels in Hong Kong

  • Assist in the development and implementation of Business Plan, Marketing Plan, Budget and KPIs to ensure an on-going basis optimum guest satisfaction, sales potential and profitability

  • Manage the function of all hotel personnel through supervision of hotel department heads

  • Monitor present and future trends, practices and systems in the hotel industry and determine and ensure execution of competitive programmes

  • Establish and maintain effective communications with Corporate Office and ensure hotel operations are in adherence to Group policies and procedures

  • Assume responsibilities and authorities in the absence of Area General Manager

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in hotel with at least 5 years at senior management level
  • Tertiary education in related field
  • Hands-on experience in Food & Beverage, Front Office and ‘Heart-of-the-house’ Operations
  • Proven management abilities in planning and long range goals with strong business acumen
  • Excellent leadership skills and communications skills
  • Excellent command of  English in both spoken and written
