Restaurant Supervisor (All Day Dining)

Marco Polo Ortigas Manila

Responsibility

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in efficiently managing the outlet according to the established concept statement, providing courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times, in line with Marco Polo Hotel Standards of Performance.
  • Possess a full working knowledge and the capability to supervise, correct, and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned place of work.
  • Assign responsibilities to subordinates, implementing the multi-tasking principle, and periodically check their performance.
  • Implement flexible scheduling based on business patterns.
  • Ensure that par stock levels for all operating equipment and supplies are strictly adhered to and that the outlet is adequately equipped.
  • Assist in conducting monthly inventory checks of all operating equipment and supplies.
  • Assist in controlling the requisitioning, storage, and careful use of all operating equipment and supplies.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift briefings to employees on preparation, service, and the menu.
  • Liaise with Housekeeping, Kitchen, and Stewarding regarding daily operations and quality control.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items on the menu and the ability to recommend food and beverage combinations and upsell alternatives.
  • Handle guest inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found, and ensure follow-up with guests.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, depending on the operational requirements of the department/division.

GUEST SERVICE

  • Ensure that all employees establish a rapport with guests. Handle all guest requests and inquiries on food, beverage and service.
  • To be demanding and critical when it comes to service standards in the daily operation.
  • To ensure that the restaurant team projects a warm, professional and welcome image.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or in a similar role.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Awareness of hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
