Uniform & Linen Supervisor
Gateway Hotel, Hong Kong
Responsibility
- Control linen and uniform inventory by ensuring the proper checking and stacking of stock
- Provide adequate linen and uniform according to hotel requirement to main the hotel image
- Decide on withdrawal of damaged/worn linen uniform from circulation and maintain records of issues and receipts
- Optimize on utilization of linen which are beyond repair by providing direction of salvaging material for other purpose
- Ensure overall efficiency of the section by keeping record of condemned linen and uniform, issue purchase requisition and receive uniform and linen supplies according to purchase order
- Conduct monthly linen inventory, adjust linen operation stock with RB&E and floors as required
- Ensure operational efficiency of the section by administrating associates attendance, provide training to associates, evaluating their performance, provide references and resolve problems referred, maintain records and ensure administrating of internal systems and procedures
- Ensure satisfactory provision of dry cleaning services to guests by oversee timely pick up and deliveries by contractors; oversee maintenance of records on quality of services
- Resolve guests’ complaints with respect to laundry and dry cleaning services
- Contact Suppliers for any update fabric material and samples on upholstery, linen and uniform for Assistant Executive Housekeeper’s selection
- To prepare budget for uniform and linen and to keep tight control on expenses
Qualifications
- Secondary school.
- Housekeeping Supervisory Courses. (preferred but not required)
- Minimum 2 years working experience as Uniform & Linen Supervisor or 3 years working experience as Assistant Uniform & Linen Supervisor.
- Knowledge of laundry and dry cleaning instruction on garments.
