Assistant Director of Sales

Responsibility
1.Under the general guidance and supervision of the Director Of Marketing, is responsible for overseeing the day to day efforts of Sales Department and implementation of sales management system, training programs and sales activity plans set forth in the hotel’s marketing plan to achieve the budgeted revenue.2.Develops and implements annual sales activity plan with measurable target and expense budget to achieve budgeted revenue.
3.Personally handles and actively supervises the management of key accounts in each of the hotel’s revenue contributing market segments.
4. Conducts regular account review (minimum quarterly) with each member of the sales team.
5.Conduct regular sales meetings.
6.Assist Director of Marketing to develop, implement and keep current the various segments of the marketing communication plan relating to sales.
7.Keeps abreast of current and future competitor’s products, pricing and sales programs and deploys resources to efficiently optimize revPar.
8.Sits in and actively participates in regular revenue strategy meetings and implement actions relevant to sales.
9.Recommend contracted room rate structure including but not limited to corporate rates, wholesale rates, long stay rates, group rates etc, ensuring maximum revenue generation.
10. With guidance from Director Of Marketing establishes position description, specifications and performance standards for all sales personnel.
11.With guidance from Director of Marketing, interviews, hires and motivates sales personnel and conduct semiannual evaluation of their performance.
12.Recommends sales personal with potential to Director of marketing for career advancement programs i.e transfer and promotion.
13.Establishes and ensures that Account Management is strictly adhere to by all sales personnel achieving maximum productivity levels.
14.Ensure compliance with Delphi and Opera standards and ensure integrity of database.
15.Implements approved sales incentive program to motivate and drive sales team to achieve / exceed the revenue aspiration of the hotel
17.Established sales target, adjust sales coverage and distribute accounts in accordance to each sales manager strength and potential.
18.Establishes travel schedules and monitor travel expenses to optimize sales opportunity.
19.Establishes objectives of sales trip, evaluates results and ensures follow up action are taken properly.
20.Participates actively and shares accurate market intelligence of the market and competition with the Marketing team during its weekly group and revenue meeting.
