Accounts Payable Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Supervisor ensures accurate and timely processing of all hotel disbursements in compliance with Marco Polo Ortigas Manila’s financial policies and standards. This role maintains effective control over invoice processing and payments, ensuring all liabilities are settled within established credit terms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the accurate and timely processing of payables by ensuring all purchases are properly authorized, verified through the three-way audit process, and recorded under the correct accounts in compliance with hotel policies.
  • Ensures financial integrity and compliance by verifying payment documents, withholding correct taxes, and coordinating with relevant departments for funding, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Prepares and reviews financial entries and reports including journal entries, expense analyses, aging of accounts payable, and month-end reconciliations to support accurate financial statements.
  • Maintains organized and complete financial records of invoices, purchase orders, vouchers, and official receipts for audit and reference purposes.
  • Leads and supervises Accounts Payable staff by monitoring performance, ensuring adherence to hotel standards, and providing support to management in budgeting and tax reporting activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related business field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or equivalent role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Proficient in accounting systems, accounts payable processes, and financial reporting; strong knowledge of taxation, internal controls, and reconciliation procedures.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across departments.
