Assistant Income Audit Manager

Responsibility

  • Audits daily Room, Food & Beverage, and Other Operating Department revenue summaries generated from PMS and POS systems in accordance with the hotel’s policies and procedures.

  • Ensures that all hotel revenue-generating transactions are recorded correctly and are supported by effective internal controls.

  • Audits the daily General Cashier’s report with a focus on the Front Office and F&B cashier accountabilities, bank deposit slips, and analyzes cash overages/shortages. Ensures that all cash-related transactions adhere to the hotel’s cash handling procedures. Monitors cashier shortages/overages and investigates any substantial discrepancies, bringing them to the attention of the Director of Finance.

  • Audits and validates all corroborating documents, ensuring they are properly authorized by the respective managers and/or designated individuals.

  • Assists, supervises, and checks the audit of Banquet Revenues conducted by the Income Audit Assistant/Supervisor.

  • Maintains the inventory of all accountable forms for the hotel, keeping a reliable schedule and monitoring these forms to ensure proper accountability.

  • Prepares and ensures that all journal entries related to the hotel’s revenue and package allocations during the month-end closing process are complete, approved, and recorded in the hotel’s accounting system.

  • Assists the Assistant Director of Finance and the Director of Finance in the annual hotel budget, focusing on the revenue and income-related aspects.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned, based on the operational requirements of the department/division.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Commerce, Accounting, Management, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of working experience as an Assistant Income Audit Manager.
  • Knowledge of F&B cashiering, front desk cashiering, and night auditing.
