Chinese Restaurant Manager

Responsibility

Job Summary:
The Restaurant Manager oversees Lung Hin, the hotel’s signature Chinese restaurant, as an independent profit center—ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and adherence to Marco Polo standards through effective planning, organization, direction, and control of all Food & Beverage operations and administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To spend time in public areas observing employee-guest interaction and talking with guests, working through outlet managers to coach employees in guest service skills as necessary.
  • Oversees restaurant administration by maintaining operational reports, staff schedules, and communication records to ensure efficient and compliant daily operations.
  • Ensures the delivery of exceptional guest service in alignment with brand standards, effectively managing guest and internal customer feedback and concerns.
  • Assists in marketing and business development initiatives through market analysis, participation in promotional planning, and maintaining competitive positioning.
  • Upholds company policies, standards, and procedures related to safety, hygiene, purchasing, and operational compliance, adapting to evolving business requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a managerial role within a luxury hotel or fine-dining restaurant.
  • Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese is required, with strong English communication skills for effective coordination across departments.
  • Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, budgeting, cost control, and service standards.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team to achieve operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
