Responsibility

Job Description:
The Director of Restaurants, Bars & Events is responsible for customer satisfaction, adherence to quality standards, maintenance of high staff performance, and business results. To serve the needs of the business, our guests and our colleagues by leading the Food & Beverage operation of the hotel.


Key Responsibilities:
  • To be a hands-on Manager and be present at all times in the Restaurant, especially during busy period.
  • To establish a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationship
  • Supervise the functioning of all RB&E employees, facilities, sales and costs, to ensure maximum department profit is achieved.
  • Attain high sanitation standard throughout the RB&E operation by enforcing Marco Polo Ortigas Manila’s Sanitation Checklist.
  • Supervise and coordinate pricing and preparation of menus, beverage and wine lists and liaise with local suppliers.
  • Participate in preparation of the hotel’s strategic and marketing plans. Prepare and monitor the RB&E Department budget and forecast
  • Keep aware of trends, systems, practices and equipment in Food and Beverage preparation and service in the hospitality field.
  • To be a sales champion for the hotel, generating and following up on business referrals and potential sales leads to maximize business for the hotel.

Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, or related discipline
  • With a minimum of 6 – 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, at least 5 of which must be at leadership role in Food and Beverage.
  • Proven ability to develop creative approach and strategies in driving business and revenue for food & beverage outlets.
  • With excellent knowledge of market trends, excellent interpersonal, organizational and administrative skills.
  • With strong understanding of P&L statements, and the ability to develop and implement business plans.
  • Candidates with existing or recent experience in the Philippines and Manila market are preferred though not essential.
