Director of Sales & Marketing

Responsibility

  • Reporting to the General Manager of the consolidated hotels, devise and implement full spectrum of sales, marketing and graphic plans for the Hotel to effectively complete the proposed consolidation of the function, achieve marketing and sales goals and maximise yield.
  • Responsible for developing a marketing plan for the hotel within the Sales & Marketing department which reflects the strategic objectives of the hotel.
  • Responsible for implementing and managing the strategies required to achieve the marketing plan objectives and meet agreed sales revenue targets.
  • Perform human resources functions to ensure that colleague are selected, trained, counselled and rewarded to maintain performance standards.
  • Maintain a positive community image for self and hotels and remain current on local business trends. Participate in voluntary organisations which are business related.
  • Plan and develop and implement all systems and processes necessary to ensure the successful consolidation of the Hotels' Sales, Marketing and Reservations.
  • Direct the development and implementation of the Hotels' consolidated annual sales and marketing plan.
  • Direct the Sales, Marketing, Reservations and Public Relations Departments within the Consolidated Marketing Office to achieve the objectives laid down in the annual sales & marketing plan in the timeframe specified.
  • Liaise on a regular basis with the Managers of other departments to provide guidance and share experience for the benefit of WHM.
  • Supervise preparations and definition of the Sales & Marketing Plan and manual for the department and participate in setting up the sales & marketing policies, procedures and objectives.
  • Actively involved in the recruitment of all members of the Sales & Marketing Team in conjunction with HR.
  • Through various tools (e.g. media, social events, gatherings with competition etc.), explore economic data, new developments in certain companies’ structures, new assignments, industrial complexes, new business centres, new projects which all could be of interest and benefit of the hotel and distribute this information to relevant colleagues.
  • Supervise (and handle when necessary) the group and individual reservation requests. Follow-up the progress of the booked business.
  • Undertake duties and special projects as required from time to time by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of sales & marketing leadership experience in international hotels (China market preferred).
  • Proven ability to develop and execute revenue-driven strategies for hotel.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with expertise in market positioning, digital marketing, and distribution channels.
