Duty Manager

Responsibility

The Duty Manager represents hotel management in key areas of guest relations, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of guest complaints while maintaining exceptional service standards, and oversees the smooth daily operations of the Front Office Department and the overall property to guarantee operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
 
  • Oversees smooth Front Office and overall hotel operations, ensuring proper room assignments, reports, and lobby standards.
  • Manages guest relations by handling complaints, special requests, courtesy calls, and VIP arrivals and departures.
  • Directs and coordinates hotel emergencies, security actions, and safety inspections in line with established policies.
  • Coordinates with Housekeeping, Engineering, Accounting, and Security to resolve operational, maintenance, and credit concerns.
  • Maintains logbooks, prepares incident and accident reports, and ensures compliance with hotel procedures and controls.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a luxury or upscale hotel front office setting.
  • Strong knowledge of front office operations, guest relations, emergency procedures, and hotel credit policies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills with a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and handle high‑pressure situations while maintaining service excellence.
