Laundry Supervisor
Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel
Responsibility
- Ensures that all associates perform their duties to the best of their abilities
- Knows how to operate all equipment and trains the associates in safe and proper handling
- Ensures careful handling of guest laundry or dry cleaning by associates
- Ensures proper use of chemicals, correct amounts for best result and cost effectiveness
- Ensures quality control for all linens and uniforms
- Maintains safe working conditions. Reports any unsafe condition or damaged immediately according to established procedures within the Hotel
- Knowledgeable in all procedures of the Laundry Department
- Cross-trains associates to upgrade knowledge, and increase efficiency and effectiveness of the Laundry Department
- Suggests improvements, listen and evaluate ideas brought forward by the associates
- Maintains the paperwork of area of responsibility (production reports, guests charges etc.) conscientiously and accurately
- Ensures that all procedures are properly adhered to
- Attends meetings as required
Qualifications
- Secondary school
- Minimum 5 years working experience in Laundry operation and 2 years as Laundry Supervisor
- Sound technical knowledge, good leadership, communication and human relation skills
- Able to work independently and under stress
