Regional Director Sales, Hong Kong & Taiwan

Responsibility

 
  • Market Development: Grow the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets by establishing relationships with buyers and travel influencers in all business segments. Conduct sales presentations to prospective leaders.
  • Account Management: Plan and organize outreach to relevant accounts and businesses for all Wharf hotels.
  • Regional Leadership: Act as the regional owner, guiding hotel teams in understanding the market and developing accounts in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
  • Lead Generation: Build a strong pipeline of leads for conversion within the MICE segment.
  • Business Relationships: Acquire, develop, and maintain relationships with business partners to:
    1. Be selected as the preferred hotel brand through global contracting (RFP) for Global Corporate Accounts.
    2. Sign contracts with Regional Corporate Accounts.
    3. Ensure Wharf Hotels are featured in brochures or promotional materials of leisure accounts.
    4. Garner leads from MICE organizers.
  • Sales Promotions: Initiate and execute sales promotions, including direct marketing, promotional campaign and joint marketing activities in the respective markets.
  • Trade Shows: Coordinate WHM participation in major regional travel trade shows and exhibitions to enhance market presence.
  • Sales Reporting: Submit weekly sales reports and maintain account sales profiles according to company policies and procedures.
  • Strategic Planning: Assist hotels in delivering information and recommendations to develop strategic action plans.
  • Familiarization Tours: Organize familiarization tours to promote our hotels and destinations.
  • Marketing Plan Development: Develop and update the annual marketing plan, including analysis, KPIs, key action plans, and budget.
  • Budget Planning: Ensure the implementation and management of the annual marketing plan and regional budget.
  • Additional Duties: Carry out additional requests as required by management.

Qualifications

 
  • Graduate from College or University
  • Minimum 4-year experience as regional sales, or as DOS/ADOS of a hotel.
  • Experience working in the Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan travel markets.
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. 
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for both internal and external interactions. 
  • Self-motivated and driven, with excellent organizational and prioritization abilities. 
  • Skilled at building strong relationships and collaborating with all levels of staff. 
  • Capable of understanding, analyzing, anticipating, and addressing the needs of hotels and customers with creative solutions. 
  • Effective decision-maker, supported by well-considered suggestions. 
  • Solid knowledge of contract and project management.
