Restaurant Supervisor (Lounge)

Responsibility

  • Responsible for supervising the operations of outlets to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. You will also assist the Restaurant Manager in communicating and delegating tasks to the team to ensure departmental targets are achieved
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in efficiently managing the outlet according to the established concept statement, providing courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times, in line with Marco Polo Hotel Standards of Performance.
  • Address guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Represent the needs of the team.
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in achieving financial targets.
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in training and developing associates.
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation.
  • Be environmentally aware.
  • Assist other departments when necessary and maintain good working relationships.
  • Implement flexible scheduling based on business patterns.
  • Ensure that par stock levels for all operating equipment and supplies are strictly adhered to and that the outlet is adequately equipped.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Food and Beverage.
  • Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
It would be advantageous for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions in this position:
  • Previous experience in the hotel industry.
  • Previous experience in supervising and/or delegating tasks.
  • Willingness to develop associates and oneself.
