Changsha, China, 10 March 2025 - Niccolo Changsha unveils the “BE ON CLOUD 93” afternoon tea, an exquisite experience inspired by the serene elegance of the sky. From 8 March, 2025 through 30 June, 2025, guests are invited to ascend to the 93rd floor and indulge in a tranquil afternoon above the city skyline.
Crafted by the hotel’s Executive Pastry Chef, Kennedy and his team, this afternoon tea draws inspiration from light, airy cloud-like elements infused with the refreshing essence of spring. The set includes six bespoke desserts, three savoury creations, and seasonal fruits, accompanied by a selection of premium coffee or tea. To enhance the immersive experience, a haze machine will be in action throughout the afternoon tea service, evoking the sensation of floating among the clouds.
Not only is this afternoon tea a visual delight, featuring delightful pastel hues that embody the freshness of spring, but it also offers a harmonious balance of flavours and textures. The White Coffee Mousse is crafted with cream infused with Italian coffee for 24 hours, allowing it to absorb rich, aromatic flavours. A citrusy yuzu filling adds a refreshing contrast, perfectly balancing the mousse’s velvety sweetness. The Italian Pistachio Almond Cake features three layers of almond and pistachio sponge interwoven with handmade raspberry jam and coated in crisp pistachio crumble—offering a delightful contrast between crunchy exteriors and soft interiors with a symphony of sweet and tart notes. The Chocolate Hazelnut is crafted with 55 percent pure cocoa chocolate, layered with hazelnut praline, silky mousse and delicate crisp textures, while salted caramel adds depth to its indulgent sweetness—an irresistible treat for chocolate lovers. The savoury selections showcase an innovative fusion of Western techniques with local flavours, including Prawn Salad with Changsha Chili Aioli, Crispy Dough with Braised Beef Short Rib, and Duck Foie Gras Pâté with Crispy Waffle, delivering a complex layering of flavours in every bite.
The “BE ON CLOUD 93” afternoon tea is priced at RMB 488 per set, serving two guests. Available daily from 1pm to 5.30pm, guests are welcome to experience this enchanting afternoon tea at The Tea Lounge on the 93rd floor of Niccolo Changsha.
