11 Jun, 2024 (Chongqing, China) - To kick off the summer, Niccolo Chongqing is embarking on a collaboration with Swiss skincare brand VALMONT’s Luminosity collection. From 15 June to 31 July, Niccolo Chongqing launches a "Pink Together” themed Afternoon Tea in The Tea Lounge. The afternoon tea will present exquisite desserts infused with Swiss romanticism, taking guests on a journey of sunshine and romance. As a skyline hotel in the centre of the city, Niccolo Chongqing has won consistent praise from business leaders, fashionistas and the media for its superior location, incredible skyline views and modern design. It has also become a trend-leading hotel through its cross-border co-operation with various fashion brands.
Launched in 2022, VALMONT’s Luminosity line has been crafted with concentrated natural plant ingredients from the Swiss Alps. A wealth of active ingredients seep deeply into the skin to work their beautifying magic. The brand focuses on young consumers and the creation of natural, healthy, radiant skin. The name "Niccolo" draws inspiration from Niccolò Polo - the father of Marco Polo, legendary 13th century globe-travelling explorer and merchant - and is a perfect symbol of his bold and undaunted spirit. Niccolo Chongqing incorporates the work of world-renowned designers and artists, combining traditional and contemporary artwork. The modern, elegantly designed lounge with its breathtaking views provides guests with a stylish afternoon tea experience and the perfect place to take a break from shopping with friends.
Inspired by the Luminosity series of VALMONT, the Afternoon Tea is a combination of dopamine-producing aesthetics, embracing the light of the early summer sun, breaking through limitations, and experiencing the vibrancy of summer. Johnny Xu, Pastry Chef at Niccolo Chongqing, combined the Luminosity colour palette with modern colours and the VALMONT and Niccolo Chongqing brand logos to create a sweet and soft afternoon tea.
The desserts of the afternoon tea include a delicate and refreshing oolong peach tart in a subtle pink colour, a strawberry red velvet cake with the VALMONT logo, a soft and sweet coconut dacquoise yogurt mousse, a delicate rose raspberry choux puff, and a refreshing pistachio gava bavaroise. This is balanced by savoury treats, including Crab tartar & shortbread, salmon mousse & salmon roe and truffle mascarpone cooked ham roll.
"Pink Together" themed afternoon tea is priced at RMB 388* including two cups of coffee or tea of your choice, and RMB 488* including two glasses of Niccolo Prosecco or Special Drinks.
