Responsibility

  • Provide food for guests and employees efficiently with high quality at a reasonable price, prepare dishes in accordance with standard recipes and comply with food hygiene regulations.
  • Support the head chef in kitchen operations to ensure the delivery of highly efficient services.
  • Plan and prepare to serve high-quality food and set up displays in designated restaurants.
  • Prepare and cook food for guests and employees based on standard recipe cards.
  • Strictly adhere to recipes, operational standards and plating specifications.
  • Maintain all HACCP requirements in the course of hotel operations.
  • Operate all equipment, utensils and machinery correctly.
  • Be available to perform takeout-related duties as required.
  • Be available to work at locations outside the kitchen as assigned.
  • Be available to conduct inventory checks as requested.
  • All staff shall be informed of occupancy rates, banqueting arrangements, forecasting plans and revenue data.
  • Prepare menus as required in a timely manner.
  • Respond to each guest's requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Proactively learn and make appropriate adjustments to work practices.
  • Attend and actively participate in all training sessions.
  • Understand, practice and promote the team's working methods at all times to achieve the mission, objectives and overall standards of the department.

Qualifications

  • Food Handler's
  • CertificateHigh school graduation; graduation from a professional culinary school is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of cooking experience in a five-star hotel or a high-end independent restaurant.
  • Able to use all products and ingredients in a cost-effective manner.
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks and completing them on schedule.
  • Able to perform well under pressure, stay calm and solve problems effectively.Able to work in a humid,
  • hot and occasionally noisy environment.
  • Possess professional Chinese and Western cuisine knowledge matching this position, and perform duties efficiently and with high quality.
  • Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
  • Completed up-to-date food hygiene training courses.
  • Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.Knowledge of food safety management systems.
