Responsibility

  • Maintain a strong sense of customer service throughout the entire work process.
  • Keep a positive work attitude, fulfill one’s own duties diligently, take the initiative to solve problems, and maintain clear communication with guests or colleagues at all times.
  • Put forward constructive opinions or suggestions conducive to the hotel’s operation and environment improvement.
  • Proactively promote the hotel’s services and facilities to guests and suppliers.
  • Perform one’s duties well during work hours and ensure personal and others’ safety.
  • Have a thorough grasp of the contents of the menu and beverage list, and provide detailed explanations to guests.
  • Understand the requirements for healthy food and offer appropriate recommendations.
  • Consult with managers to discuss ways to enhance customer service awareness, reach a consensus on service standards, and take corresponding actions.
  • Meet the requirements for product knowledge proficiency.
  • Recommend menu items to guests according to their respective nationalities.
  • Be familiar with the dishes offered by other restaurants in order to make recommendations to guests.
  • Have a clear understanding of the business hours of all restaurants and other departments of the hotel.
  • Recommend other attractive restaurants or venues to guests.
  • Conduct random checks on staff’s product knowledge during work.
  • Adhere to service procedures and ensure that all areas of the restaurant meet the service standards for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including the preparation of the cashier counter, communication with chefs, and handling of detailed restaurant reservation information.
  • Check the restaurant’s reservations for the day to ensure that staff can make preparations and set up tables correctly according to reservations, complete relevant arrangements, and make confirmation calls for reservations.
  • Assist colleagues in the bar and kitchen when necessary, and fulfill tasks assigned by managers.
  • Ensure that all staff are informed of the detailed shift arrangements in advance.
  • Complete the bill checklist to prepare for restaurant services.
  • Provide service with a smile, assist guests with seating, coat and bag storage, and introduce oneself.
  • Ensure that all guests are escorted to their seats and inquire whether they prefer the smoking or non-smoking area.
  • Assist the restaurant manager in conducting orientation training and on-the-job training for staff.
  • Summarize staff’s job performance after each shift to improve their work skills and boost their confidence.
  • Set a good example for other restaurant staff by demonstrating professional competence.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of relevant management experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel.
  • Possess a proactive and collaborative mindset. Approach all work with enthusiasm, and be eager to seize every opportunity to learn new skills for the continuous improvement of work proficiency.
  • Demonstrate excellent adaptability. Respond flexibly and maintain a positive attitude towards changing requirements, including any adjustments to work demands.
  • Have strong team spirit, and work towards the team’s shared goals through cooperation and support for colleagues’ work.
  • Good oral and written English proficiency.
  • Solid leadership and training skills.
  • Outgoing personality, and able to work long hours.
