Inspired by the magnolia flower, the event offered a contemporary chic reinterpretation of the traditional Chinese wedding. Engaged couples were invited to experience the distinctive Niccolo wedding aesthetic, a fresh perspective on elegant Chinese weddings.
Centred on the beauty of the magnolia, the overall design of the 'Magnolia Waltz' wedding show transformed the hotel's 8-metre-high, pillarless Niccolo Ballroom on the fifth floor into a modern Chinese courtyard. Huge green drapes cascaded delicately around a striking installation of white-to-pink gradient magnolia blooms. Light and shadow projections simulated the flow of rippling water, spreading through the drapes with the spring breeze, evoking a sense of renewal and fashionable, multifaceted romance.
The hotel's Event Sales team provided guests with a detailed introduction to the wedding venues and services, highlighting exclusive booking policies and packages for couples. The event also premiered a situational drama based on a real client's story, incorporating the Chinese folklore of the Twelve Flower Goddesses. Through graceful dance and stirring music, the presentation vividly depicted a couple's journey from meeting to marriage, resonating deeply with the audience. Following the show, guests enjoyed desserts and snacks prepared by Executive Chef Daniel Brooker and his team and participated in interactive games and craft workshops. Lucky draws were held throughout the event, with prizes including a luxurious stay in the hotel's sky suite, wedding essentials and exclusive experiences.
